In the group following Jesus in Judea there was a young man who asked the way of salvation. But when Jesus told him, the young man said, “All these things I have kept – what lack I yet?” Then Jesus told him what his lack was and “he went away sorrowing.” The interview was over, Jesus had asked for the Master Key and the young man refused to give it.
Has Jesus the keys of your life? Has he the key to the liberty of your life, or do you just read what you please? Has He the key to the dining room of your life, or don’t you feed your soul by prayer? Has He the key to the recreation compartment, or do you just go where you please? Have you given Christ the Master Key to your life?
