Your Guide to Home Worship:

The Israelites, erstwhile slaves of Pharaoh, in their flight, find themselves in a sorry case. Before them lies the Red Sea. It effectually bars the way to the Promised Land of peace and safety. Behind them flash in the sunlight the warlike accoutrements of Pharaoh’s advancing host and the sight strikes terror into their hearts.

O, cruel dilemma! The Egyptians or the Red Sea! Certain woe or God must do the impossible! They cry to Moses in their extremity and he answers out of the mouth of God: “Speak unto the Children of Israel, that they go forward.”

In the face of difficulty, we must go forward. Problems are not solved by repining. Indeed, they grow larger and blacker as we dwell upon them. Faith justifies itself to the faithful. Go forward! God will surely go with you to open and smooth the way, for nothing is impossible with Him.
